Fantastically beautiful B & B with great hosts
Aylworth Manor is one of the best B&Bs we have ever had in the UK. In the middle of the Cotswolds, you have perfect access to the many beautiful places like Bouton on the Water or Stow on the Wold. Even the friendly welcome from John at tea and a nice conversation was very warm. We immediately felt at home. Our room was really large and very tastefully furnished; the view of the beautiful garden and the wide area of the meadows unique. Such a heavenly peace and quiet in the middle of wonderful nature. The bathroom was en suite and very large with a bathtub. Everything was very clean and well maintained. John and his wife Jo are very personable and took great care of us. The breakfast included cereal with yogurt and fresh berries and you could choose a la carte different cooked items and eggs in all variations. There were also croissants and homemade jams. Perfect! We would like to rate more than 10 points, because this unique house with its long history and with its wonderful hosts exceeded our expectations. Thank you so much Jo and dear John.

This accomodation exceeded our expectations which were already high. A quintessentially “cotswolds” experience that fulf
Meticulously maintained household and property. The hosts, John and Jo, were a very down to earth and welcoming couple who didn’t hesitate to assist in any way possible. The epitome of the perfect hosts that suited their household to a tee. The full English breakfast spread accompanied with granola and fresh berries as well as homemade croissants were delectable.
Not a thing.

Beautiful house off the beaten track, with great hosts!
Secluded and quiet, but within easy reach to the tourist towns. Johnny and Jo were excellent hosts, and fun to get to know. Beautiful house, well maintained. Excellent breakfasts.

We liked everything about Aylworth Manor: the location, the hosts, the breakfasts were all excellent. The property itself is beautiful, very peaceful, and is set in magnificent gardens. We would definitely recommend it.

We visited Aylworth Manor for a 2 night stay, to get away for the weekend. I don’t think I could have picked a better place for us to stay, it was very comfortable and relaxing. It felt like staying in a home, rather than a hotel or b&b. Great food, great company, and a great location. Without a doubt, we would definitely stay here again when we next visit the Cotswolds.
Visited Aylworth Manor for a 3 night stay to celebrate my birthday, and what a fantastic experience we had. The house and grounds were perfectly kept and we had the most amazing view out of our room. The house is full of character and is perfectly located to reach all major towns/villages in the Cotswolds swiftly, yet is set away into the countryside which makes for a quiet, relaxing, and real countryside experience. Bourton-on-the-Water is just a few minutes away, with the likes of Bibury, Broadway, & Chipping Campden just 15-20 mins away each. The breakfast each morning was fantastic, especially the freshly laid eggs from their own chickens. Truly, thank you so much for having us. We will see you again in the summer!

We are a senior Canadian couple who travel extensively in the UK annually. We have experienced many delightful places to stay but Aylworth Manor is definitely one that deserves special mention. The location is idyllic and the accommodation is Grand ,comfortable and as clean as a whistle. The hosts were extremely welcoming and friendly and we would not hesitate to recommend Aylworth Manor to anyone visiting the magnificent Cotswold region.

An incredible and peaceful location that allows you to completely switch off. The hosts are welcoming, kind and generous and truly go out of their way to make you feel welcome and at home. I cannot wait to return to enjoy the Cotsworld charm and hospitality. Thank you for such a memorable stay.

We arrived to the small of freshly baked scones and left with a cheery wave from the owners. After a wonderfully quiet night, we drew the curtains and drank in the view over the immaculate garden towards the totally unspoilt countryside. After a delicious breakfast, the owners leant us a map and suggested the perfect itinerary which allowed us to do a bit of antique shopping, visit another beautiful garden and enjoy a cracking lunch at a local pub. We got the last available room but everything was spotless and very comfortable and our en suite had a huge and luxurious bath. We can’t wait to come back next year.

Aylworth is a peaceful haven of friendliness. The hosts, Jo and John Ireland are welcoming and generous – as well as having a memorable sense of humour. Our bed was large with beautiful linen, bathroom full of lotions and fluffy towels. Breakfast was epic. A real find. We will return.

Absoloutley 5 star! I booked for the start of our baby moon and we stayed in the walnut room. Clear directions and such a warm welcome from Sarah upon arrival. We were slightly later than intended arriving which wasn’t an issue at all. The house is simply beautiful, what a charming, welcoming and homely Manor house! The house had a beautiful energy to it and you really do feel at-home here. I love the concept of this bnb that the rooms are not lockable and it really doesn’t feel like a generic hotel…which I loved! The grounds were beautiful and we enjoyed walking around them. The breakfast the next morning was divine with fresh compotes and local produce. I simply can’t fault this place and I would love to come back and stay. Book and you will feel totally relaxed! Home from home… thankyou Jo and Jonny.

Jo and Johnny, thank you both for welcoming us into your home and providing such a comfortable stay, we enjoyed every minute! for potential bookers and viewers of this feedback… Aylworth Manor is your quintessential high society Cotswolds country estate. You’re welcomed and greeted at the door every time you come and go like you’re family, the rooms are large and super comfortable, the views are textbook Cotswolds, breakfast is exactly what one needs for a beautiful day ahead, the walks in the surrounding countryside are a perfect way to soak up everything nature has to offer, and the estate itself is simply lovely. It was a bonus that the Manor is tucked away from everything and yet only 10-30 mins drive to most of the must-see places and public transport.

Jo and Johnny’s home is warm, calm and quite simply beautiful. The minute you walk through the door, I was greeted with a cup of tea and a sophisticated chat. My visit was short notice and involved heavy snow conditions – which both Jo and Johnny helped by navigating my trips out and offered great recommendations for pub dinners. Their home is kept to high standards, and my room felt elegant and had some great personal touches – such as robes, high-quality bedding, and much more- but I won’t ruin all the surprises! It was a challenge leaving the cosy sheets in the mornings. However, the delightful breakfast served on beautiful fine bone china made it all the easier. Five stars from me! I want to thank you for my special few days in the Cotswolds. I can not wait to come back and catch up!

This cottage/granary was amazing, even better than the photos. It was spacious and clean and well equipped with everything we needed. The location is great for exploring the Cotswolds and the hosts were very welcoming and accommodating. Would definitely stay here again.

The Granary is the most amazing place to stay. Beautiful location in stunning grounds – an ideal place to explore the Cotswolds. Jo & her husband were lovely hosts. The Granary is fully equipped with everything you need & super dog friendly. The log fire was an absolute bonus & the Wi-Fi is super fast. Highly recommend & will definitely return

This is an amazing country manor and we were well looked after by the owners and the staff -who were all very welcoming and friendly. Breakfast was high quality served on bone china and silverware. Good pubs a walkable distance away. Our room was spacious. Bed comfortable. We were given plenty of help planning our day trips.

Our hosts, Johnny and Jo, were casual, warm and welcoming. They made us feel comfortable and at home and were generous with advise on places to visit and things to do. I wish we could have stayed longer!.

Stayed at The Granary for a weekend in a self catering barn conversion adjacent to the Manor House. On arrival met by Jo. This is a lovely property in a lovely location only about 15mins from Cheltenham and 10 mins from Bourton. Ate at the Black Horse at Naunton which was excellent. Our only issue was we had a fly problem which we were told only occurred for a few weeks at this time of year. As a result we left a day earlier. Take care as there is a live wire by fence on the drive but no sign and we were not informed and one of our little dogs hurt himself on it. Otherwise lovely property.

Wonderful countryside manor in the Cotswolds with beautiful gardens. Enormous room. Huge comfortable bed. Large bathroom. Such a change from the pokey rooms in the cities.

A very lovely place with great accommodation and wonderful staff.

“Great base for exploring the surrounding areas.”
Always nice to come home to each evening.

“Apart for the rain non stop we had a really nice break, the Granary was set in lovely surroundings, there was everything you could need, plus there is so much to do in the Cotswolds too much for one week.”
So we will be definitely be going back there.

“We stayed in the self catering converted stables.”
The cottage was very comfortable and suitable for a family or two couples. The location is ideal for day trips to Cheltenham, Bath, Stratford-upon-Avon and of course all the beautiful Cotswolds villages. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay and will be back in the future. Thank you Johnny and Jo!

Everything you could ask for in a classic country manor house with the warmest hosts imaginable – amazing walking and wildlife, and a breakfast that you can’t wait to get up for! I’ve stayed twice and will be back again.

I had the most delightful two night stay at Aylworth Manor. The house is stunning – charming interior, large and spacious bedrooms and beautiful position set amongst their garden and the Cotswolds hills. The breakfast was very delicious with the option of locally sourced and organic cooked breakfast and continental style freshly made croissants, cereal and yogurt. There was even the option of chicken or goose eggs! Both the hosts are extremely charming and helpful. All in all, I could not recommend this place more.

“This holiday let is absolutely beautiful, and in the most stunning grounds.”
The rooms were all furnished tastefully and there was a lot of space. The directions listed by the property were very accurate and there was ample space to park. The owners were friendly and helpful. I would highly recommend this property.

Structure surrounded by greenery in the English countryside, waking up in the morning with the view of the well-kept flowered garden is a great way to start the day. The owners are friendly and very helpful, they also recommended excellent places to dine. Cozy, clean and spacious room. Excellent traditional freshly prepared breakfast.

Perfect haven of peace in the middle of the Cotswolds close to several beautiful villages. The setting is wonderful with a beautiful house, spacious rooms, a majestic exterior with landscaped garden with horses and duck. Very friendly welcome with lots of advice on visits and restaurants. Very pleasant breakfast in an equally charming setting

Our stay at Aylworth Manor House was a fantasy came true. Remote countryside house away from the hustle and bustle of towns and cities. The peace and tranquility of the surroundings with farm and wildlife is unbelievable. Our hosts Jo and John was friendly and welcomed us on arrival.
